Megan Sandberg

A fellow alumni of Chapman University, Megan holds a BA in Screenwriting and a minor in Women’s Studies. She created the romantic comedy mini-series Ask Amy, and wrote two short films which have been circulated in nationwide film festivals. While pursuing a career in the film industry, she worked as a script reader for Luc Besson’s company, Europacorp (Lucy, The Fifth Element), and as part of the TV & Film development team at Whalerock Industries (I Am Pilgrim)

In addition to screenwriting, Megan developed her technical abilities through fiction. While living in Portland, OR, author George Herman discovered her through a literary magazine, and provided a ten-year mentorship to help refine her craft. Her personal letter in response to Laurie Halse Anderson’s Wintergirls won the state prize for Oregon’s Letters for Literature competition, and you can find her nonfiction work in magazines Calliope, 60 Seconds, The Movie Network, and The Los Angeles Review of Books. Megan takes any opportunity to creatively collaborate, and is dedicated to discovering, shaping, and writing captivating stories.
